The Venturi Fétish is a production sports car that is based around a pile of batteries and electric motor. Built from composite materials, it sports two seats and all the trimmings you come to expect. Whats interesting is that it comes with an electric motor that is equivalent to 300bhp.

Only 25 of these things will be built, but they certainly make a great flagship model for the electric car movement. They can do 115mph, accelerate to 0 - 60 in less then 5 seconds and have a range of approximately 220 miles. A full charge will take about 3 hours which isn't too bad.

They are somewhat expensive, $600,000, 40% of which is the cost of the batteries. Still they look very exciting. Pictures can be seen here, here and here.
